my first spam from a Dem 08 candidate - Mr. Obama

got a spam from Obama care of democracyforamerica.com.

I'd certainly vote for him though he is not my first choice (nor are any of the 3 alleged front runners), but if he is gonna send emails the least he could do is make it something of substance rather than a generic bla bla about how many people show up at his rallies and how he is the new
wind sweeping the republican smog out of the valley or something.

there was not one concrete comment about what he would do if elected.

He can send me more if he likes but if it just like an ad for orange juice or cars, it is spam.

At least he didn't hit me up for money, which may be because the email was associated with democracyforamerica.com

C'mon Barack, if you are going to convince me to vote for you, put some substance in your emails.

And by the way, are you gonna vote for the democratic party nominee if it is not you?

PS- at least I haven't gotten any regular mail pimping for cash for his senate re-election campaign, even though I am 3000 miles from his state, unlike another US Senator I could mention :-)

I got on the Edwards spam list by signing a get-well card to his wife.
