Faux News to air controversial documentary on "radical Islam"

The documentary Islam vs. Islamists, originally slated to air on PBS, will run on Fox News Channel on Saturday, as part of a 90-minute program titled Inside Islam: Faith vs. Fanatics.

According to a FOXNews.com write-up, "the film follows moderate Muslims who have challenged the 'Islamists' who espouse a more radical view of their religion." The documentary was supposed to run earlier this year, as part of PBS' America At a Crossroads series. But, the article continues, "after viewing the film, PBS executives...told the filmmakers that it was 'alarmist' and 'overreaching' and that PBS would not run it."

Inside Islam: Faith vs. Fanatics, hosted by E.D. Hill, will air at 9pmET, featuring interviews with producers Martyn Burke and Frank Gaffney.
