What's with this Childrens haters' death wish?
Amazingly, they vote against overriding Dim Son's SCHIPS veto. Surely, knowing full well, every Dem running against them will make them look like childrens (sic) haters.

Now, I never understood the unflinching blind obedience to the Bush agenda before - many say some kind of Rove blackmail - but now, with only 24% of the country supporting him, and an issue that 81% of the country support, why in the hell would they be so freakin stupid? I'd be happy for their blunder, if it weren't for the poor kids.

Got to be something big, something really big.

1. Two words: Echo Chamber.
They live in it, and the Corporate Media helps them in their delusion that "Reg'lar Merkins" agree with them on all kinds of crazy shit- from wanting to make the birth control pill illegal, to Terri Schiavo, to this kind of thing.

It's like the myth of the "all powerful values voter".. The American People are far more liberal than the conventional wisdom crowd gives em credit for.

The bottom line is, the GOP is massively out of touch with reality.

6. Nope. The vast majority of Americans are pro-choice, too.
And the Republicans want to outlaw not just abortion, but contraception as well.

3. Well Don't Lose Hope
Sure, it was a disaster politically for the Dems. I mean, if you can't sell that, you couldn't sell water in a desert. It was about as easy as it gets.

But on the bright side, I hope they will finesse the bill a bit and get it passed in the long run. It really is a worthy cause.

Look for Bush's approval rating to rise as he continues to spank the Dems....
