What's your favorite forgotten Bush outrage/scandal?
there are so many.....at least daily....that some inevitably fade from memory.
help us recall those that have become obscured by the sands of time....

for example:

small ones, as when Bush in 2005 went to Wilkes Barre, Penn. and delivered a grossly inappropriately partisan Veterans Day speech (in front of a military audience) on a day traditionally used to invoke basic nonpartisan patriotism...

or large ones
such as when he pulled out of Kyoto and advanced his "Blue Skies Initiative," which actually made INCREASED pollution acceptable, disguised as some sort of environmental nicety.

C'mon, there must be a million of 'em! Have some, er, fun, if you can without crying...

1. Hard to pick between AWOL and 9/11, but I'm going to go with
9/11 'cause it's got a million "legs" that one.

4. The whole "Jeff Gannon" thing kind of petered out prematurely
I was hoping it would swell up and reach a climax, but the media went soft on it.

9. I was remembering Gannon too
we never got to the point where Bush got caught in bed with him while his wife was sleeping elsewhere every night(which she was and may still be).

Wouldn't that be a funny impeachment?

"Did you get a blowjob from Jeff Gannon in the Oval office?"

"I do not recall that"

"We have it on tape, would you recall it then?"

5. Dick Cheney and Pamela Willeford.
Cheney didn't pull the trigger on the shotgun that shot poor old Harry Whittington.

Pam Willeford (at the time, Ambassador to Switzerland) did.

And that is what really happened.

And they were drunk as skunks.

10. That is the one that
stands out the most for me too. How utterly depraved and unpresidential. That is when I became truly ashamed for our country.

8. Of the "forgotten" ones?
How about preventing the legally-required release of documents from the Reagan-bush era, all the better to obscure an entire previous set of Bush outrages/scandals.

14. I think the way Bush got out of serving in Vietnam is important, because
it's so hypocritical in light of his war today.
