1. Interesting point...
I guess putting our rulers on trial would defeat the purpose of these court shows, which is to terrorize the unwashed masses into submission.

2. Don't forget to visit Firedoglake
They are liveblogging the trial:

http://firedoglake.com

Psst, don't tell anybody but there have been a few studies that show more people turn to the web for news than to television. Keep it under your hat. ;)

3. No, it's a Federal Court and the judge said NO CAMERAS!
It's up to the judge in HIS courtroom, not the TV guys.

Hey, I wish it were televised too! Istary almost all day on Firedoglake just readingclips of what's going on, but I can see why a judge would say no cameras too. Wehn cameras are there, everybodythinks they've got to put on a show, including the attorneys, witnesses, and the judge! Sometimes, in high profile cases, I gotta agree with the judge.

5. you don't need cameras in a court room...
to cover a story. Who decides what the public needs to know, how it should be framed, and what information to omit?

6. I don't think it's a close court, so if YOU or I wanted to attend, I guess
we could get in lineall night outside the court and hope for a seat.

Beyond that, David Schuster seems to be doing a pretty good job at summarizing the daily events. YA know, a LOT of trial time is the most boring of anything you can imagin!

I would LOVE to see camera, just so I could see the facial expressions, body movements, like sitting on the edge of the witness chair or leaning back, when a question is asked. however, I can also understand the judge not wanting his courtroom to turn into another OJ trial!

7. It is not HIS courtroom
It belongs to the people of the U.S.A.

It should not just be up to him, but based on legal standards.
