It's required reading, yes. They both are. When you're finished those, you might find (re-) reading Unequal Protection by Thom Hartman worth your time.

Hell I have been gone so far as to compare and comntrast what is going on in this country to ... nazi germany. She does not go as far as I do, damn history degree, and some round these parts get really, really nervous when I go there.
