1. I am continually surprised at how many former missile bases there are here in WA State.
Both of my children attend schools built atop old Nike launch sites here in Western WA. Up until a few years ago, there were silos next to the street in one of my town's neighborhoods.

8. Don't forget the silo located in down town Seattle...
Boeing's Developmental Center on south aurora has a missile silo used to develop the system...

The Russians used to consider it as being an active silo; even though there was nothing in it....

2. That Sounds Cool
I wonder if I could turn a missile silo into a hanging garden.

I wonder if I could get sharks with lasers on their heads.

6. I don't like this
What is to keep someone like Blackwater etal from buying what is essentially a fortified bunker?

No weapons provided? "No worries boss, we'll be furnishing it ourselves."

7. You Have a Point, but
I think it would be equally cool for an organization, or even an individual, dedicated to peace, to buy this property and turn it into something positive.

Bet you could create a hell of a lot of compost in a missile silo.
