AP article about the McCain controversy -- Guess who's quoted defending him????

It's probably not worth the bandwidth pointing this out, but take one guess which fellow "straight-shooting" Senator is quoted in the below article defending McCain's "Christian Nation" comment? Now, you would think that such a comment would be deemed offensive by those people who are -- how shall I put this -- not Christian? This particular person fits the bill and, yet, spoke up resoundingly in defense of his colleague. Any guesses?
