"Breakfast of Champions or Chumps?" (poem)
There should be waffles here
eggs, surely some eggs,
or juice of some slain fruit.
A potato based meal would make me squeal
Like all the dead pigs whose flesh provides my garnish.

Oh no. Not for me
Only small tablets and capsules do I see.

Food for my head

Maroon one kills my infections
Pink one stops things from becoming inflamed
and kills a little pain
Yellow and red, those soothe my head.
"Fuck it all" pills. No cares. No dread.

Blue versus Gray takes the depression away
My own little civil war that happens every day.

Taken later, big and little white
Help me sleep and keeps visions from my sight.
Not conducive to walking
I've passed out taking the milk out or talking.

Breakfast of champions or chumps?
Served up by the men in white. No real understanding in their sight.
Just a mandate instead.
Pretend to fix my head. Lab rat me until I'm dead.

"I'd rather have an omelet" the hungry, crazy man said.

3. Hey Shadow
I'm still a fan.

What you say is of great interest to me. My partner was recently diagnosed with clinical depression and put on meds. The diagnosis was recent but the spiral down has been on-going for some time.

Things don't seem to be improving. Another lab rat in the making. This has got me pretty discouraged but I made a vow and I will stick to it, no matter what. Sigh.

Hang in there bud. You're not alone.
