Oprah's Obamma Endorsement a Wash, Say Voters
Pew Research Center for the People and the Press Examines Effects of Celebrity Endorsements

by John Eggerton - Broadcasting and Cable

The endorsement of stars like Oprah Winfrey, Jon Stewart or even Tiger Woods would not translate to any more votes and somewhat curiousity in the case of Stewart, Woods and other - could actually hurt their chance

(snip)

Respndents said Oprah's endorsement of Sen Barack Obama (D-Ill) she has stumped and raised funds for him - will have essentially no effect on getting their vote, but they still think it might help his run.

4. Here is the link to the article

although I don't totally buy it. I think Oprah has some influence; I don't think Tiger Woods or Jon Stewart endorsements would have any impact.

3. Talk is cheap!
It must of been fantastic if the opposition takes time to make such a ridiculous claim!! I saw the media pictures and it was like a Red Carpet Event! Awesome guest list too, all paid top dollar happily!

5. First of all his name is spelled OBAMA.
And Queen Oprah could very well be a king-maker.

6. I can believe it really.
I could care less who or what Oprah endorses. I was actually afraid it would hurt Barack in certain ways to be linked to her name.

7. Just his being on her show gives him an enormous amount of publicity
and a chance to charm a lot of people that ordinarily would not be interested in politics.

8. remember-
she also had Tom Cruise on her show---jumping up and down on her couch.

My opinion----it will make no jump in Obama's numbers in the final total!
