good golly Miss Molly --- 20/20 is now the "George Bush is the man" show.
Driving on I-71 between N.E. Ohio and Columbus tonight ....
and I turned my FM radio on scan ..... picked up the audio feed of
20/20

Long story short ..... Army soldier shot with a RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade)
and the really great and heroic efforts that saved his life while many risked their
own lives and the soldier made it back home to America.

2 things

1) the medical team and army personal who saved his life are heros

b) the underlying theme of the show was "America must risk much to
gain success in Iraq" ..... that is our duty and you must hate the troops if
you are anti the war in Iraq.

*******************************

all the time durning breaks "they" were pimping a story about about Jenna
"the tough little teacher fighting for her poor students ....

Any doubt that much of the media is just a tool of bush & company was exposed
tonight.

RW talking point. Radio 'psychologist' Dr. Laura (ABC Radio is a big buyer of her syndicated 'advice' show) has been pushing the big uniformed-soldier-is-a-*hero*-not- a-soldier
dealie the last few days.

Along with her - by now - routinely idiotic defense of this demented war. Powerful stuff for folks who don't get exposed to other points of view.

Such as those living in 'corporate radio monopoly land' (CRML); i.e. in places like Northeast Ohio.

3. 20/20 is still ON?
I quit watching YEARS ago when they devolved into "personality profiles" & puff pieces.

When it started, they were a "60-Minutes" wannabee, with hardhitting investigative shows, but like Dateline and the CBS clone, they gave up on that idea and became an infotainment show instead..

There are NO "real" investigative shows on anymore.. (except for the ones that profile a solved murder case from decades earlier)
