Okay here is a crazy , even insane question. Does anyone know about an "exchange program" for drugs

that don't work for you? As my doc said , "everyone is different'. For example, I was prescribed "AMBIAN" and it does nothing for me.Nada.Zip. I lie awake and nothing happens. Xanax works just fine to put me to sleep but I don't want to get hooked. I am trying another sleep aid mow "trazodone" or something but what do I do with the Ambian? It seems a waste to throw it away. It would be great to be able to "trade" it in for something that works.It shouldn't be "illegal" as I have prescriptions for both but I guess I shouldn't give my prescription to someone else? I know that is supposed to be illegal.But what about someone who already has a prescription for it? Technically, it would be wrong I suppose, but maybe we need new legislation for this stuff.I remember throwing away tons of expensive meds when my Mom dies and it was too bad.Someone could have used them that couldn't afford them! Something needs to be done about stuff like this.Solutions anyone??

2. Well, I understand their concept and it is a good one but I think what I am asking is about

an exchange program for those of us still living.For instance, why can't I exchange my Ambian with some one trazodone doesn't work for? Otherwise, I am paying twice! Do you see what I am saying? BTW, I do not expect this program to actually "exist" now.I just think there should be one! And Big Pharma, via the FDA and other gubmint agencies, would put up a helluvalot of roadblocks to actually getting it off the ground.

I wish it could be simpler too.

and them giving them to another customer simply because you did not eat them, thrown them away is what you should do.

it just knocks me the hell out for 8 hours on the dot usually

then there's that whole risk of dependency...but i will go months at a time without and be fine
