Let us say that Bush has a stroke while eating lunch today. Would IMPEACHMENT find its way back onto the table or would we, as a nation, simply go down in flames?

Well I suppose that Democrats wouldn't even wait for a funeral before they started impeachment procedures against Cheney.

I mean they don't feel that they have a strong enough case now, but after the death of President Bush and in a time of national mourning, with attendant sympathy for the new Vice President, and without any additional evidence of wrongdoing, They would clearly impeach immediately.

Just seems like horseshit to me. The truth is they have been taken in by Bush and accept behavior from him - and remember, it is his Presidency - that they would not accept from anyone else on earth. We don't have a Congress of whores, we have a Congress of dupes.

8. My guess is that some of those Dems would be lining up to assure us

that he is an honorable man and thank him for his service to the nation. Personally, I don't think they'd do a damned thing differently than what they do now--play nice and give lip service to the concerns of the people. I'm fed up.
