Did you call GE today to get their CEO to get this war in Iraq ended?

Did you tell your firends and family to call GE?

Thank you very much. Keep spreading the word for others to call GE.

1. GE is going to end the war in Iraq? Not the White House? Not Congress?
Hm. "GE. They bring good things to light."

Uh, no. I didn't call.

I did call my cable company to get a new cable box for my tv. Does that count?

5. Did you know ...
... that it is specifically against DU rules to use that braindead debate tactic? Just asking...

3. Thanks for the prompt. I 've told the NBCs when I write that I don't

buy GE - not even one light bulb, not even when the store only carries GE bulbs. I leave and stay in the dark - that means 'light' to me. But, I always tell the owner or manager why I'm not buying the GE bulbs.

GE could care less about my not buying bulbs. They can sell the big war toys to the brass/barons - with our money - possibly at inflated prices. So why should they care about my not buying their bulbs when it's the war toys that make them happy - PLUS to participate in the propaganda war against the peole of the U.S.? But it gives me great pleasure, except for any little people who might lose their jobs collectively.

Hardware employees have told me that other people have told them they won't buy GE.

7. Did something happen with GE yesterday? Are we not ususally
protesting their ownership of the NBCs and the propaganda they throw at us in addition to making war toys. Is there something to add to that. Next time I'll be a little more cautious about responding until I learn the orignator's main point. Assuming that something new happened yesterday, I'd like to mention that some of us can't follow everything in a day in the world of Cheney.

6. I don't understand the tactic.
Edited on Sat Sep-15-07 08:51 AM by cobalt1999
Why would I call GE? How would that influence the CEO who reports only to the board of directors and shareholders? Even if, by some chance, the CEO wanted the US out of Iraq, how could he influence an administration that doesn't listen to anyone?

The tactic doesn't seem to make sense. Explain.
