Obama myspace page flipped to Hillary page on the day Obama announces

On my myspace page www.myspace.com/mortos13 I had an Obama for President link and a John Edwards link. For those of you who are unfamiliar with myspace, users create pages and then can invite other users to be a part of their page by requesting them as "friends". I am relatively new and only have a few family members and associates as friends so I added an Obama for president friend and the official John Edwards myspace page.

This morning I logged on and, much to my surprise, my Obama link had been replaced by "Rockers for Hillary".

Does anyone know how this could happen. I assume the creator of the Obama page could change it to whatever they wanted but I think this is a pretty sneaky thing to do and is not going to win many converts.

Anyone can create these pages and I was pretty sure the original Obama link was supporter created and not an official page for the campaign but on the day he announces someone changed it to a Hillary support page.

I wonder if anyone can check it out and find out if there is a mirror for the link from 2 days ago and find out how and when it changed?

1. I think the creator must have change it.

It's a pretty shifty way to do things. You could ask them. I've tried to add Dennis to mine but he/whoever hasn't added me yet. It's been weeks. I'm thinking of making my own site for Dennis 2008.

2. Do it and link to the official one

There is nothing like trying to support a politician and not getting "approved" as a friend. Make your own site. Just don't flip it without telling anyone.

3. I just did a google search for the address of the

Rockers for Hillary page and...ta da it was changed from Obama to Hillary yesterday. I think it is a crappy thing to do. I will be emailing the creator of the site.

Unless of course they are pre-approving all comments before posting them. That's so shady.

That really good that you were able to catch that with a google check.

People with lots of "friends" probably wouldn't even know. I mostly network with artists and a few issues and I have only a handful of real friends on there. So the more people I add the less likely I would catch something like that.
