1. i don't you can compare them, 2 totally different shows imo, it would be like
comparing Flying circus to Fawlty towers.

2. I voted for Stephanie ..
Randi has a lot of facts, but she's nasty .. even to many who agree with her.

7. Thanks for sharing. Rachel has wonderful enunciation, a big brain in her head, no regional accent,
Edited on Sun Feb-11-07 12:30 AM by Radio_Lady
and maybe she'll take some real phone calls instead of listening to herself talk incessantly. Somebody, somewhere, should have clued in Randi Rhodes -- if you don't get others' opinions, you're just interviewing YOURSELF endlessly! It's boring! Also, Randi should have SOME guests SOMETIME within the several hours of her show. It's just makes sense to me after my years in the talk show business.

BTW, Rachel's great on television, too. Fast, funny, and smart.

20. Rachel is the best in my opinion because she does'nt take calls
It's all subjective. I like Rachel's style, her humor, her news and interviews. I listen to the other 2 on my radio in the car. But, both of them grate on my nerves after a while. Rachel I often download the whole show. I'm glad we have all three so we can listen to the ones we like the best.

21. I didn't realize that she didn't take telephone calls.

She's on in from 12 Midnight to 2 AM here in Portland. I've only heard her a few times, and on TV a few times. I'd love to see her get better time slots.

Thanks for your post.

30. yes she does (technically)- during the "ask the vet" segment.
But it's not technically taking calls for her to answer, I agree that you're right...

4. I heard Stephanie Miller's show once, and it struck me as sophomoric.
I turned it off rather quickly.

I do like Randi :)

13. I'm with YOU! I LOVE liberal radio, but I CAN'T listen to her show.
It's like the old Sonny Elliot weather broadcasts.
Stephanie seems OK, but the cut-aways and inserts
are STUPID.

17. I feel the same when Sam Seder does the Katherine Harris bit,
and when Al Franken did all of his schticks.

What struck me was that when I heard Stephanie Miller, I was surprised because I'd read such great things about her. But there was really no content, just jokes about body parts, bathroom humor, that kind of thing. I was disappointed.

18. i agree...maybe she is appealing to the younger folks..but her show drove me nuts.
Edited on Sun Feb-11-07 08:34 AM by flyarm
all the laughing and giggling wasn't for me..but as a mom..i find nothing funny about what is going on in this country..nor do i find it funny our kids are dying in a war of lies...

but i could see how Miller would be appealing to younger folks..

she drove me up the wall with all the silly crap...but that is my 2 cents..different strokes for different folks..

i like the seriousness of Randi and Mike Malloy..this is serious shit!!

but if anyone makes the youth in this country pay attention..i am all for that person!!..so i think they all play a role in educating Americans!!

23. You must hate things like the Daily Show and the Colbert report
Edited on Sun Feb-11-07 10:02 AM by mmonk
also? One thing I like about Stephanie Miller is the humor combined with the outrageous policies of this administration. The humor discredits the outrageousness of the hate speech that emanates from rightwing shows and accents how messed up they are.

5. I have listened to them both for along time!
Stephanie, all the way back to her KFI/LA Days.
Randi,All the way back to her WJNO days.

I have a fantasy of having them both in my bed..A night of wild passionate sex...
Then..spending the afterglo in beautiful talk of politics...
and lastly to top off the night? Holding Randi in my arms and watching Washington Journal together in the morning...
Kinky Huh? ;)

10. Why not both? Both are necessary.

WE WANT IT NOW AND FOREVER!!!
WE CAN AND DESERVE BOTH!

It's great, though-- the two best voices out there are women. Smart, strong, and determined.

16. Stephanie's perfect for the morning.
Makes me smile and laugh even when I'm grumpy and not wanting to be getting out of bed, getting dressed, and going to work. I usually stream her show from my desk... makes the morning go by much faster- and helps my mood

By the afternoon, I'm ready for some Randi. Ready to go home, ready for change. Sometimes if he has a good guest on, I'll put on Ed Schultz- for the same reason- I want some news- hard hitting

26. At 3 PM - and we get her in real time in NYC
I heard Miller once - no, watched her on C_Span with Clark. I'd be happy to have her here in NYC instead of some jerks they haver in the morning - Armstrong??? I never turn on before 9 when Seder comes on.

27. 3 pm explains why I don't hear her. At that time slot,
the only progressive show I get (Raleigh, NC) is Ed Schultz.

28. Stephanie Miller
She is S-MEXY Smart and sexy.

BTW For those who say her show is not serious enough .....
get a clue .... she is a comic and the show is based on comedy.

Although she always covers the top news stories and was one of the
few with guts to call 2004 for what it was .... Stolen.
