Why would anybody believe one word from Bill Kristol?
I just saw that smiling little shit on Fox (3 minutes) and I want to
wipe that grin off his face. He helped get us into that nightmare and
is still selling the need to stay the course.

Did you know that we are winning in Iraq?

Did you know that we are fighting al Qaeda & Iranian terrorists in Iraq?

Did you know that keeping over 100,000 troops in Iraq for years is a good thing?

Did you know that Sunni v Shi ite problems will not be an issue and that any
American who thinks such has a very parochial view of Iraq? B. Kristol Feb., 2003

2. because he's on tv all the time, and he is paid to write articles
the people who get exposure, are the ones whose ideas get pushed.. That's precisely why we are in such a mess.. Decades of only hearing ONE message, pretty much tells a lot of people that there IS no other view

5. A line from a song of a quarter century ago might well explain
why, "...a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest..."

That's also the reason for the shakeout in multi-media. We are getting it all set up so we can each hear whatever it is that reinforces the prejudices with which we indulge ourselves.
People believe for their own reasons, rational by their logic but not necessarily yours or mine.

9. Thanx
I am just a poor boy and my storys seldom told
Ive squandered my resistance for a pocketful of mumbles, such are promises
All lies and jest, still the man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest, hmmmm

When I left my home and my family, I was no more than a boy
In the company of strangers
In the quiet of the railway station, runnin scared
Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters, where the ragged people go
Looking for the places only they would know

Li la li...

Asking only workmans wages, I come lookin for a job, but I get no offers
Just a comeon from the whores on 7th avenue
I do declare, there were times when I was so lonesome
I took some comfort there

Now the years are rolling by me, they are rockin even me
I am older than I once was, and younger than Ill be, thats not unusual
No it isnt strange, after changes upon changes, we are more or less the same
After changes we are more or less the same

Li la li...

And Im laying out my winter clothes, wishing I was gone, goin home
Where the new york city winters arent bleedin me, leadin me to go home

In the clearing stands a boxer, and a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him
til he cried out in his anger and his shame
I am leaving, I am leaving, but the fighter still remains
Yes he still remains

Li la li...

6. The same clucks who would believe Kristol are the same clucks who
think the repubics are floating a viable presidential candidate. The final insult was that old cretin Fred Thompson.

Poor Abe Lincoln, he's spun his way to Tokyo by now.
