Romney Camp Removes Craig YouTube Video

Today's news about Sen. Larry Craig's June arrest at an airport in Minnesota has prompted Mitt Romney's campaign to take down a YouTube video starring the senator, who has been a supporter of Romney. The Romney campaign named Craig a co-chair of the former governor's Idaho Leadership Team back in late May, but Craig has now distanced himself from the Romney camp.

"Senator Craig has stepped down from his role with the campaign. He did not want to be a distraction and we accept his decision," Romney spokesman Matt Rhoades told us tonight.

The news about Craig reminded us that we're a long-time subscriber to the senator's YouTube channel, because he has one of the best online video strategies of any elected official.

Sen. Craig's office produces "Washington Report" every other week. The show is posted on the Senator's Web site, appears as a podcast, and on the Senator's YouTube channel. "Report" updates Idahoans on the senator's work, and is hosted by Iris Amador, a spokeswoman for the senator who works with Spanish-language media. She hosts the show in English and Spanish. The senator's office produces "Report" in both languages, in order "for a portion of our citizens" to "better their understanding of the Senate," according to Craig's Web site. ...

3. I just flashed on a great Romney Ad:
Camera opens on Interstate rest area men's room. Sounds of passing traffic and air brakes. Camera dollies into rest room, into stall, pans to glory hole. Finger come through glory hole and beckons. Camera moves down, close to glory hole. Voice says "Psst. Hey you, sweet cheeks. Let me tell you about Mitt Romney"...

6. Ostrasized
It makes him like he's lost every Bush admininistratin and Republican (from his former cabinet buddies to the GOPers in Congress to your typical wight wing nut) he ever had.

It almost.... ALMOST makes me feel sorry for him.

I hope you got my private email. The rib (Sara, the spouse) agrees with me that it's time to break bread ald lift glasses in toasts to friends and to foes alike. We're in NW..... around Peachtee and Pharr. If that's inconvenient for you, we're flexinle. And of course, any fellow DUs are invited. I'd prefer inexpensive (but good) and dutch. I'm far more interested in what exits your mouth than what enters it, if you catch my drift.....

Happy Friday? Sure, why not?
