Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Porter Goss, a former CIA director, rejected advice that an outside panel evaluate the performance of his predecessor, George Tenet, and other officials over failures to prevent the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The Central Intelligence Agency's inspector general recommended in June 2005 that Goss form a panel to consider disciplinary action against some officials still with the agency, according to a declassified summary of the report released yesterday. The CIA's current director, General Michael Hayden, said he re-read the findings and agreed with Goss's decision.

"Director Goss noted at the time that the officers cited include some of our finest," Hayden said in a statement issued along with the congressionally mandated inspector general's report. "With inadequate resources, they and those they led worked flat out against a tough, secretive foe."

Inspector General John Helgerson's team concluded that Tenet and other top officials failed to use their authority effectively, didn't coordinate internally or with other agencies and missed opportunities to evaluate information on the Sept. 11 hijackers who attacked New York and the Pentagon near Washington.

2. Here's some truth about Porter Goss and colleagues itineraries

during August 2001 up to the morning of September 11, 2001-which leads to some hard questions that have never been answered.

A Congressional delegation visited Pakistan and President Musharraf in August. Three of the members of that delegation were The House Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rep. Porter Goss (R FL), The Senate Committee on Intelligence Chairman Sen. Bob Graham (R FL), and Senator Jon Kyl (R AZ).

On August 6, 2001 a PDB was given to George W. Bush including a 2-page section titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US". Many reports and warnings about possible attacks in the US from ME and SE Asia based groups had come into the US intelligence community from US and foreign sources.

FBI and other law enforcement reports about suspicious activities of associates of these ME and SE Asia based groups had also been entered, including information about flight school training in Minnesota, Arizona and Florida.

John Ellis Bush was the Governor of Florida, a SCOTUS decision regarding the counting of votes in Florida to determine the winner of the 2000 general election resulted in the Bush administration taking office despite having lost the popular vote, confrontational partisan tactics used in the recount, disfranchisement of eligible voters, voting machine issues and other irregularities.

The head of Pakistan's intelligence services (ISI), Lt. General Mahmoud Ahmad was in the US during September 4-13 2001.

There are consistent independent reports that Gen. Ahmad, in addition to whatever else he was doing in the US in September 2001, had made arrangements for some type of financial disbursement to associates of these ME and/or SE Asia based groups, including Muhammad Atta who was enrolled at the Naples, Florida flight school of Huffman Aviation partially owned and controlled by Wallace J. Hilliard.

On the morning of September 11, 2001 a breakfast meeting with Gen. Ahmad included Rep. Porter Goss, Senators Bob Graham and Jon Kyl and others-when news of the attacks reached this group they left that meeting.

George W. Bush was in Florida when he was notified of the attacks by Andrew Card, he eventually left a school and was flown around in Air Force 1 with USAF fighter protection making brief stops at US military bases before returning safely to Washington.

All these facts are available through numerous open independent sources. They lead to many still unanswered questions, these facts have exposed many lies and propaganda since 2001.

between 45 minutes to an hour before getting one. They joined him just before he landed in Louisiana. (the account of his flight was reported on 60 minutes a year after the attacks.

The IG report refutes this talking point about resources. Even Terry McDermott admits in his book Perfect Soldiers that the alleged hijackers were not exactly professional terrorists.
