(MENAFN) An official at the Iraqi government announced that the country has recently lowered its official selling prices of Basra light crude oil to the United States and meanwhile, raised the same prices to Asian and European countries, Iraq Directory reported.

He went on to add that Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) dropped West Texas crude oil price by $6.8 after the price was decreased by $4.4 during the previous month.

2. Since "The Sopranos" was such a popular show in the US...
...you'd think more Americans would catch on to how the Bush Family operates.

3. Odd paradox
That means that any of that oil that gets stolen will be worth less.

7. There is something extremely odd here
given that yes the Iraqi people are suffering without any apparent due reward.

Doubtless some <half> wit will draw an unfair comparison with Venezuela on this issue. Their people on the whole are quite poor but they do at least get free healthcare, a decent education for all ages including the elderly and poor housewives are actually paid an income which I think is pretty cool.

8. extremely odd
Yes, extremely odd. I agree. I noticed oil hit 70 dollars a barrel on the world market today. I bet the generous Iraqis are selling it to us for half that by now.

And yes, I can think of some people probably think Venezuela should be selling it to us at bargain rates too. Just so we don't Shock and Awe them. Some Democrats too.
