There is no gender inequality?

Need ammo for letter I want to send to local fishwrap in response to some republic witch who dissed John Edwards and his position/concern re gender inequality..


Opinion piece praises fact that women hold half of all managment jobs in America. (Thereby allegedly repudiating Edwards concerns over gender inequality) Was there not some recent study showing that women still paid less than men? Does anyone have a link I can use?

Also can I have a 2 minute primer on the American Enterprise Institute, which the target opinion piece cites? Who is behind AEI and what is its agenda?
