1. Hi, Laura Pack Your Bags. I saw the graphics there and thought how
close elections tend to be in Wisconsin. I remember the Jimmy Carter/Mo Udall primary contest. That was an interesting race in Wisconsin.

And the rise of Russ Feingold.

Edwards seems to have a slight lead over Ghouliani, and Clinton and Obama are very close. I'm hoping Wisconsin gets bluer and bluer as 2008 gets closer and closer.

3. You are right - excpt Edwards has a clear lead over Rudy
10 points looks good to me. I don't think Edwards is offensive to Repukes, do you?

5. I can't speak for Repukes, thank god, but I agree -- he is more palatable
to a general electorate and would draw some Republican votes, especially from the Republicans who were Republicans before 1992. The pre-Gingrich Republicans, in other words.

I'm not sure how that shakes out in Wisconsin. How did someone as thuggish and thick as Tommy Thompson get elected governor there? There must be dairy cows smarter than Tommy Thompson. Correction -- there most certain ARE dairy cows smarter than Tommy Thompson.

On one hand there's Russ Feingold, one of the true progressives, and then on the other is a clueless chunk of concrete like Tommy.

It's puzzlin', I tell ya.

2. Wisconsin's pretty purple
Actually, it's solid blue in Mad-town, bluish-purple in Milwaukee, and deep red most other places with a few blue dots of aging hippie communes sprinkled in randomly.

9. Its understandable why he's campaigning against her, he wants
her as the democratic nominee. As you can see by the opening post above, she can be beat!

13. It seems like Edwards is gathering steam as more people scrutinize
Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama.
