4. I like Christopher Eccleston, too.
That said, the consensus among all my Ozzie and Brit friends seem to be that David Tennant rules!

7. It's always your first ;-)
My favorite is Eccleston, he was the Doctor when I first saw the show. My husband was a fan when he was younger, apparently, and was very excited when the show came back. His favorite is Pertwee, who was the first one he'd seen. It seems to always be true, you never forget your first...

11. My whole family adores The Doctor and we were heartbroken when Chris Eccleston
left after one season. Now, however, I think we all prefer Tenant and his new lady friend over Eccleston and Rose. Just a smidge though. I like a few of the old ones too. I tried to make my kids watch some of the first season from the sixties and let me tell you, they couldn't muster enough interest to get through the first ten minutes!

We love The Doctor.

If you like the Doctor, you might like our other favorite sci fi/fantasy shows too: "The 4400" and "Eureka". I highly recommend them.

15. You may not know that Martha is leaving after one season...
...to be replaced by the 'Runaway Bride' from last year's Christmas episode.

I like Tennant, too - although Eccleston and his 'Northern accent' rocked it pretty good.

16. Please tell me that's a horrible joke. We hate that shrill, annoying woman! Martha is great. We
had high hopes for her...

17. She's only gone for half a season. Wandering over to Torchwood for a few episodes
She will be back about mid season.

22. Jeez, you had me pretty stressed out there for awhile. We're really starting to like her a lot.
She seems far more real and a bit more fun than Rose. Plus we like the developing situation w/Martha's mom. Interesting stuff there.

I watched the old Who, but it was just so cheesy. I want to know where I can get a Captain Jack.

10. Tom Baker is the True Doctor
He has the Simpsons guest appearance to prove it:

and any doctor worth his salt should have played Rasputin:

12. Holy crud that is Pertwee!!!
Great Doctor to be sure. But your first Doctor is always your favorite Doctor. I came to the show via Tom Baker and that is who Who is still to me. And his ex-wife/companion is married to Richard Dawkins and thats got to be worth bonus points somehow.

13. I'll Take David Tennant
You can have the rest. He can regenerate in MY bed any time he wants!

BTW, there's a great vid of him introducing the Pussycat Dolls at the London Live Earth concert.

18. He can't run for President of the U.S.
because he wasn't born in the U.S. I'm assuming that's the office you have in mind.

He would protect against the Daleks and their WMDs, though.
