Although some still doubt it, we are preparing to take on Iran when we haven't even declared 'victory' in Iraq. bush promised to drag the war out as long as possible, even letting the next at the helm continue what he started and couldn't finish.

Will the next president, R or D, try to fix the madness that has taken over our government?

We will likely attack Iran this fall, probably after another terror attack or plot here, right before Christmas being the most dramatic timing, and it will escalate all year, through the election cycle, past November, and into 09.

I suspect sadly that whoever the next pres. turns out to be, he or she will be a mere continuation of our downward spiral toward chaos.

1. what to do is not so tricky. The tricky part is defying big oil, defense industry, Bechtel...
all companies that regularly kill people that get in their way.

4. Withdraw the troops. If our house burns down, we'll at least have the troops home to burn with us.
The funeral pyre of an empire is a sight to see. There will be no recovery after a war with Iran. The economic chaos will turn the US into a broken ex-superpower like Russia. Nobody will listen to the US anymore or think it's a beacon of hope and freedom. It won't be. It'll just be a graveyard of broken dreams.
