Tony Snow tries to point the finger at the "Democratic Governor of the state"

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/08/20070802-3.html

<snip>

MR. SNOW: Well, again, the Democratic Governor of the state made the point that he thought --

Q Republican.

MR. SNOW: That's right, the Republican Governor, you're right, thank you. I was thinking Minnesota. But the Republican Governor also made the point that scheduled rehabilitation was in the future and they both attested to the fact that this was something where someplace in the future -- and it is indeterminate, you're right, it doesn't say six years or 10 years.

9. The guy was from Fox, wasn't he?
Didn't Fox News have some pedophile Republican typed as a Democrat not too long ago?

11. Probably they got into such a habit of blaming the Democratic Governor of Louisiana...
at the time of Katrina, that they automatically do the same for ANY place affected by a disaster.

14. Uh, who the hell DOESN'T know Pawlenty is a repub?
How many news outlets keep making this "innocent" slip between "D" and "R" anyway?

Repubs were just to go after Dem wrongfulness.

Why can't they fess up to themselves?

And when will the Dems start pointing fingers back, not that it wouldn't be easy to do; everyone involved happens to be a "R" this time around.

16. Page out of the Fox News playbook
Anything that goes wrong has to be a Democrat's fault.

18. Sheesh. FOX loses more credibility every day.
Haven't they fathomed what a laughing stock they've become? I occasionally watch their opinion shows to get their perspective, but more and more they come across as a farce.

Even their commercials; like the one for the "National Review" where the lady announcer says "Are you ready? Those tax and spend and regulate and tax more Democrats are!" :wtf: Having seen what de-regulation has done the last couple of decades, and plenty from both political parties have (forgive me) fucked up, it's high time the politicians demand some standards be put back in. And then follow through with it. We're (nationwide) already in the hole; we're going to have to spend money sooner or later.

Or should their negligence just kill everybody, is that what the politicians are saying in action?

20. When I first heard the news I thought they said the governor was a Dem.
I don't believe much of what I hear on the news anymore, though. Especially when it's "something bad happened ... person responsible was a Democrat" - then I know I need to go look it up.

But in the context of this comment and this horrible incident, WHO GIVES A SHIT WHETHER THE GOVERNOR IS A DEMOCRAT OR A REPUBLICAN? Why would he even think in those terms? Yeah, I know - DUH!!!
