Former foster-parent association president guilty of molesting 2 boys

DeLand - The former president of a foster-parent association was found guilty today of two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.

George Allen Goolde, 62, was immediately sentenced to 25 years in prison on each count, which will be served consecutively.

During the day-long trial, the state presented evidence that showed Goolde fondled two young boys repeatedly over the course of the year. Goolde admitted to touching the boys, but said in his defense that the boys wanted him to do it and that he did not do it to satisfy any sexual desires.

Goolde was the president of the Volusia/Flagler Foster-Adoptive Parent Association.

Defense: Children had sexual 'issues,'
initiated contact with accused parent

DELAND - Children in the care of an Orange City foster father charged with molestation might have initiated sexual contact and had prior "issues of acting out sexually," a defense attorney argued today in the foster father's trial.

George Allen Goolde, 62, is being tried on two charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of two boys, ages 8 and 11.

What the hell is wrong with these people? I just don't get it. I'm not sure I loathe or pity them more. Hell, each sentiment is pretty much neck in neck with the other. What kind of a perverted sexual identity would someone have to have to be drawn to such a thing, and to act on it?

blaming 8 and 11 year olds for the shit a grown man does. I was under the impression(apparently wrong) that the parent is to teach kids the right and wrong about sex.
