Dicks' batteries, Roberts' Seizure, 2 term House Members, & Senate only cost $35/months healthcare!
The next time I hear some thug on the floor of Congress complain we can't afford to gut other social programs on behalf funding limited childrens health care plans, I'm going to transport my "fist of death" up their ass.

Do you not find it incredible that these people receive a lifetime, FULLY covered health care benefits for them and their immediate family- for a premium of $35.00/month?

Ask Justice Roberts what his Ambulance ride cost him while getting emergency medical transport, or ER evaluation and treatment, diagnostics (probably an MRI involved or CT scan) or the ICU, non-invasive monitoring, room & board, nursing care, pharma, IV's oxygen, physician consultations, and discharge planning cost. Well, I know he won't directly answer, but he doesn't have to, the answer is...

Thirty Five a month, ladies and gents.

But, what are WE looking at? he's the SCOTUS... :* :* :* :* :* :* :* :* :*
What are YOU looking at, world trade center volunteers?, they're all cozy as members of Congress after that first term... :hide:
What are WE whining about, our injured kids in the schoolbus? Or Katrina aftermath person? He's the Decider }(

Should we ask for cake, then?

Please add this to the growing unacceptable reasons to stop the insantity of the ruling class. Do they deserve more than any other citizen?

1. Don't let up on demands for universal single payer health care.

2. They still get a great deal, but the $35/mo. is misleading.
Here's a link. It's a read only file in excel. I find it interesting that there are differences between States.

they still get a hell of a lot better deal than we do!

I do believe members of the House are around the figure I raised.

5. They're not "gutting other programs," they're taxing cigs @ 61 cents a pack

They're not "gutting other programs," they're taxing cigs @ 61 cent a pack, a least according to what I heard on NPR yesterday.

I'm not a big fan of sin taxes, both from a moral standpoint (should we tax fattening foods, e.g.?) or from a practical standpoint (the higher the taxes are, the more people that quit that "sin," and THEN where does the money come from?).

We're better off just privatizing all insurance companies, just like in one of those "evil" countries, and taking the money that was going to profits from our paychecks and redirecting it -- more effecientlly and more humanely than private enterprise ever could -- to taking care of everybody, and not just the lucky few. If there's one lesson we can learn from the rest of the world (note the rate of exchange for the Euro or the Pound) is that we can be capitalists and STILL take care of the sick people. ALL of them.

7. I'm not a fan of sin taxes, either, and there could be options for those who
... want "out" from a universal plan. Let anyone pay over and above, but let care be means tested and based on the number of those who stay healthy.

This was portrayed in "Sicko" when the doc was saying that THEIR patient outcomes were based on how many maintained their health (versus the stupid managed care model we use, which is low bid contracting)
