The Republicans are just evil
Taking health care away from kids! How much lower can they go? How can they justify MURDERING people in Iraq while not providing health care to kids here in America? I am watching the vote on SCHIP in the House. So far, every single republican vote is no.

This just makes me ill.

1. It is the height of absurdity
when they argue that schip costs too much. Pure fucking evil.

7. Yes I can't think of a better description
I will admit I am biased on this issue since I work with kids, many of whom have no health care. I watch them get sick and sicker since they can't get care.

One of our kids almost died 2 years ago from a very preventable ailment. She was 11 years old. It was just unreal watching her family trying to get help for her. And now we get to watch them try to pay her medical bills.

Yes, it is just evil to allow this to happen in this country.

4. That will be next
Right now they just want to take the property away from those who do not agree with them. When that does not stop the dissent, they will start killing people for it. If happens in all fascist regimes.

6. What did you expect from republicans? Remember these are the people that claim being poor is a
personal choice. So in their minds these children don't deserve health care because mommy and daddy were to lazy to work and wanted to live off government hand outs. I am dealing with such a person on another forum, he keeps insisting that being poor is lack of personal drive and not from the loss of livable wage work. He insists that a person without credit, with no collateral can go out and get a small business loan and become a success.

9. Tough choice - support what the American people want or the special interests groups
which, if they didn't finance your campaigns, you'd be hard pressed to raise the money to get elected.
Their rhetoric and blustering is so obviously transparent....all they can do is whine about how the majority is acting like they did for 6 years....except that it's the American consumer that benefits from the legislation.

They made their bed a loooong time ago, now they can sleep in it.

10. It is socialism they cry
They hate how much the program has helped kids and how well it works.

They say it is the first step toward government run healthcare. They don't want their money going to help the underprivileged.

15. They're the same party that took defenseless mentally ill people
and put them out into the streets after they shut down all the treatment centers and mental institutions.

Evil is such a soft word to describe the hardness of their hearts (and the cement between their ears).

On another board. Didn't you know that poverty is due to indolence and a lack of faith? Especially the lack of faith part.

I swear these folks are cloned.....and share a brain. This is also the person who has decided that the US should simply destroy every muslim in the whole world. Think of the dent in the population that would cause.

These folks are willfully ignorant, I swear to you.

I've always considered myself an independant, but ever since I've been old enough to vote, I have only voted democrat. Not because I agree with everything on that side... but because I find it morally repugnant to even consider voting republican, or to allow them to win by not voting.

25. I missed that era
but I also live in Florida, where we had another Bush in charge for a few years before the 2000 election. So I knew my choice was between the guy who I didn't think would be that great, but at least he wouldn't screw stuff up, or the guy who would definately screw stuff up.
Looking back, I don't think I was nearly pessimistic enough. He didn't just screw stuff up, he screwed EVERYTHING up.

Now I detest them more than ever. I am not real fond of conservative Dems either because I feel that many have been complicit in Imperialism, Globalization & Corporatism.

Repugs are dead-set against society taking care of people who can't take care of themselves. All they care about is making sure the IRS and police agencies ability to take what you got. They got what it takes.

and our Congress members need to be shouting OBSTRUCTION at the top of their lungs.
Harry Reid just needs to take this fucker nuclear and be done with it.
The people's business needs to be done and if that's the only way to do it, then so be it.
