"It's not about racism..
it's about being proud of your own race!"

I saw this on a KKK business card posted on a bulletin board by the restrooms at a local Borders store. I couldn't believe it! Apparently some crazy mentally disturbed animal(to say the least), from Arkansas was swinging through! Geez, I didn't think they were smart enough to read!!!

THIS SHIT HAS GOT TO STOP!!! I hope some employee will catch it and toss it in the trash!

2. I love that formulation.
It's like "The Civil War wasn't about Slavery." Or "Christians are persecuted." It bothers me that people believe that, but I am forced to acknowledge that they clearly do.

5. Actually you are wrong on both counts
- Originally Lincoln would have tolerated slavery to keep the union together. The conscription riots in NYC clearly showed there was no great desire to shed blood to end slavery in the north.

- Christians are indeed persecuted in some places...Saudi Arabia for one

The KKK slogan is indeed BS

6. Nope I'm afraid you are wrong
* The South started the Civil War, not the North; so Lincoln's desires are irrelevant. The South started the war, and they started the war to preserve slavery. It's fair to say that the North didn't fight the war to end slavery, that's accurate. But the South damn sure fought the war to preserve Slavery, and since the south started the war, their motivations are what count.

* When I say Christians are persecuted I mean in the United States.

7. I stand behind my assertion
it really was states rights...the landless southern white peasants were not fighting for slavery

8. The Landless Southern White Peasents are also irrevelent
The Southern Aristocracy were the ones who brought the war, not the landless southern white peasants.

What "states" rights were the southern aristocracy fighting to preserve? The right to own black people as slaves.

Why do you want to whitewash the history of the Confederacy?
