31. Ahhh, so he wins no matter what?
Edited on Mon Jul-23-07 08:35 PM by HughMoran
I asked for an opinion, not a justification for being angry at someone who thought that other candidates may have done better than your candidate.

:D

I thought they all did well myself - I actually like Dennis a lot. There are no "automatic" wins for me though.

33. He won because Dennis:
Has a plan for universal health care and is not underwritten by big pharma.
Voted AGAINST the IWR and is not underwritten by the MIC.
Wants removal of the troops now.
Voted AGAINST continued funding of the illegal war.
Voted AGAINST both Patriot Acts.
Favors gay marriage.
Favors legalization of medical marijuana.
Is against NAFTA and will repeal it if elected.

No other candidate can make these claims. Poll after poll shows the vast majority of the American people agree with Kucinich on these issues.

As for the debate? There wasn't one. This was a corporate-sponsored dog-and-pony show in which the top 2 questions were not even asked. Most of the face time went disproportionately to the corporate-sponsored candidates. Color me wholly unimpressed with all but Kucinich.

34. I also agree with Kucinich on all of those issues
I do have to acknowledge that he likely won't be the nominee though, so I may have to pay attention to the rest of the candidates.

I enjoyed the format - it surely beat some of the stiffests I've seen in the past.

Quite enjoyable...

5. Richardson is now #3 in NH according to at least one poll
and I thought he was very strong tonight. In past debates, he vacillated between clear and concise and mumbling and incoherent. Not tonight.

6. And now the meme of Obama being inexperienced continues on CNN
That Toobin, Tobin, or whatever his name is continues to paint Obama as inexperienced and naive.

Way to go, Jeff!

And Hillary wasn't in the top three of the group, either.

19. I'm glad he's there, even though he takes after Obama at every opportunity
He keeps the whole thing from devolving into nicey-nice BS and his points about money are fair, even if he (unfairly) paints everyone with the same brush.

26. He did a great job at revealing the worst of the political system, requiring change.
I was very impressed with him.

Plus, he made me laugh, LOUDLY, twice,...because he WAS being treated as a second-class citizen and exposed the reality of that in hilarious terms.

17. Good for them , real grand
Perhaps they can pin a card on their shirts with the dollar amount of their high campaign funds so we all know how much money is wasted , this is all it's about as far as I'm concerned , stinking money .

36.  Yes I am !
We had these you tube debates and they were interesting , we taped them . But it's still about big money and this is the reason partly that we are in such a mess .

They are talking 2009 before anything changes and if it does then great , I just don't see it happening . It seemed like a staged event to me .

Certainly many had good ideas but many before had them too , the proof is in their actions if and when one wins .

I still worry about the elections being canceled in light of these bush power grabs , this is something none of them address . It seems like business as usual . Jan 2009 is quite a way off , alot can go terribly wrong by then .

Mike Gravel! Him with his Fair Tax!

IMO, I think Hillary won again. Her response to would you meet with the leaders of Iran, Syria and Lebanon was the correct one, and that she managed to get in a jab at the DOD for ridiculing her sure didn't hurt either!
