Bush and The Republicans Who Support This War Know That Iraq Is Lost
Anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows that since the toppling of Saddam's regime which occurred about a month or so after the start of the war in 2003, there has not been a stable government in Iraq. In fact, there's been little if any stability in Iraq, and instead of drawing down troops over time, we've increased them repeatedly.

There have been elections, at least three Prime Ministers, a new constitution, a new parliament, and yet, there's been no real stability without our presence. Daily bombings, insurgency, ethnic conflicts, a fleeing middle class, a destroyed infrastructure are signs that this country is in a state of chaos, and our presence there only keeps it from being complete, utter chaos. And even that won't last for long. Soon even our presence there won't be able to stop the complete, utter chaos.

So, instead of admitting their failures in Iraq and calling for a new strategy or a new approach, the Bush admin, and their few supporters, are doing the only thing they know best, politics. This admin. cannot govern. It can only politic. Their strategy in Iraq is to push this failure onto their successor. In January 2009, Iraq will probably be in utter chaos, and U.S. troops will no longer be able to manage it, and if that president decides to pull the troops out, the Bushites will flood the news programs calling the new president weak on terror and blaming the new president for the loss in Iraq.

The Republican party is no longer capable of governing. It's all fear and smear with them.

1. Yes, they know it. The American people know it.
But as long as there's any political or financial advantage to be gained by sticking with Chimpy's war, they'll stay with him. They are truly despicable.
