He's saying the "Crisis" is here and I'm gonna keep talkin' about it...and I know it's "hard work" and I want every child to have the great foundation that every country affords...I'm willing to work with concerns and let us not water down accountablilty (in "No Child Left Behind)

He welcomes discussion in a "time of war" and these are "tough times" and he thinks Dems want to secure the homeland as much as I do." He's looking forward to working with Dems on intelligence and securing the homeland.

He's put out his plan on Iraq and "took a long time to think about it...." He said he listened to everyone and came up with a plan that has best chance of succeeding.

Iraq was "elephant in the room" But Bush did not back down- said his plan was best.

CNN said that the audience was "polite" but that now everyone would be rushing to press conferences to start lobbing bombs at each other.
