2. I'd consider voting for anybody...
But after three or four seconds, common sense would kick in, and I'd have to say NO...

7. No. It would be a wasted vote in my state
He would not and it would help deliver MI's electoral votes to the Republicans.

8. I'd have to give him a "No" at this point
It's not because of where he stands on things, or his 'success', or his money, or his religion, or experience, or potential running mates, etc. etc. etc.

What it boils down to fundamentally (for me) is that he pulled a Lieberman and scammed the process. That demonstrates a complete disregard for the system, IMO, and I have a real problem with that. It's a win at all costs and find a way screw the process when you don't like the results mentality.

If Bloomberg is so smart about it the would not be able to run/win as a Democrat (for whatever the reasons were), then he should have gone ahead and changed his affiliation when he entered the race initially. Making the switch after the decision and giving it another go in the very same election is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

9. The fact that he disregards the system
is why I'd consider voting for him.

Two party system is so broken.

Let's thin this herd now.

11. I see. So you would rather have a person who thumbs their nose
at the system? Looks like that's what we have in the WH at present. Not to mention his top people, advisers, appointees, etc.

Sure. Sounds like a plan.

it's a nightmare trying to get anything accomplished.

So you're basically saying you'd prefer to have someone run roughshod over your rights? :wow:

21. No
My response was more in the line of thinking that party affiliations are part of the problem. I'm sick to death of having to vote for the candidate I dislike the least.

I don't care that he switched parties (twice) and did an end-run on the process in the New York mayoral race. The democratic side of the race was packed, so Bloomberg "became" a Republican where he ran pretty much unopposed in the primary. Essentially, New York elected a democrat who happened to have an (R) in front of his name.

13. I am not a Joey fan or Bloomberg fan but
IMHO he did not scam the process. By going Ind now he has not lost the Repug primary and then turned Ind.

14. Did he not run and lose?
He changed his party to run again in the same election. The fact that he changed his affiliation yesterday for a potential future race doesn't change the facts of his actions for the NYC mayoral.

18. Since I am not a Republican, a conservative, a corporatist, a fascist or rich, NO!
People who would vote for Bloomberg over a Democratic candidate are not interested in changing the course the conservatives have set for this nation or the planet.

22. As an ex- five borough New Yorker,
I like the way Bloomberg handles himself. He brings up real issues, I can’t remember a time when he avoided a question.

...I did once get a stern and annoyed look from Bloomberg. He was marching in a big Columbus Day Parade in the Bronx. It was right before the ’04 elections.

Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9-11 just came out on video, I though it would be a good idea if I held the video out on plain sight as thousands of people walked by me. ...My family was cheering Bloomberg as he marched by. They all feel he does a good job.

When I held up my video I called out to him to 'hold Bush accountable', MB seemed annoyed.

...Every year the Bronx always hold this big Columbus Day Parade. There’s always a large amount of military members marching. That year they were only two. One soldier came over to me and gave a me a kiss. He thanked me for my support and told me he “liked” my movie.
