Liberalism's Hypocrisy
Having just moved here to Bakersfield I decided to check out some local stations (I listen to radio more than I watch TV, have been listening to talk shows since I was a young kid).

Well, I done found me a live one whose show I can call into :) And I may just email him the link to this thread...

Jaz McKay, KNZR (From his page - just a partial list):

Be sure to tune in to Jaz's show weekdays from 12p-3p! If you'd like to email Jaz, Click Here
Or, if you'd like to call in to the show, our number is 399-1560, or 1-800-248-1560.

Liberalism's Hypocrisy

Demand that no one eat meat, but you can wear leather shoes and carry leather bags.

Don't kill animals or violent murderers, but you can kill babies up to nine months in the womb.

Say that you honor diversity, but ridicule and despise white males, Christians, Southerners and most Americans.

Preach zero population, but don't anyone dare tell a welfare crack mom she can't have 10 kids who will no doubt burden the justice system as well as the environment.

Demand tolerance for the most intolerant, sexist and violent religion in the world (hmmm can you guess?).

2. bwahahahahahaha. Idiot (jaz). How'd I do...

Personally don't eat meat but ok with shoes.
Yeah, right, kill babies up to birth. Yup. Indeed. Think I'll get pg just so I can do that. Dang, remembered I'm menopausal.
Diversity is homogenousness of WASPs?
ZPG vs crack moms. I am stumped here.
Is the religion Christianity?

Edited to add another:
"Preach protection of the environment while building houses and going on damaging treks in pristine wilderness areas."

6. He get's even crazier: The Wussification of The American Male
But in the twentieth century, women became more and more involved in the body politic, and in industry, and in the media -- and mostly, this has not been a good thing. When women got the vote, it was inevitable that government was going to become more powerful, more intrusive, and more "protective" (ie. more coddling), because women are hard-wired to treasure security more than uncertainty and danger. It was therefore inevitable that their feminine influence on politics was going to emphasize (lowercase "s") social security.

I am aware of the fury that this statement is going to arouse, and I don’t give a hoot.

9. He's channeling Neal Boortz or Rush Limbaugh.

Not sure which one, but I know I've heard this dribble before.

Love how it implies that not wanting to destroy people and the earth with war every time some world leader is "offended" is a bad thing.

3. And now a word on hypocrisy from the pro-war culture of life.
That's a load of nonsense. Nothing but strawmen and fabrication, built around a seed of bigotry.

Also, there's nothing about liberalism that's against white males or Christians. Racists and people who use religion as a club to control other people, however, are rightly frowned upon. As a white male, I resent this person's assumption that one is the same as the other.

4. You and I both know it's nonsense.
But the target audience of a show such as this does not stop to think of such things. They blindly accept what they're force-fed.

5. Does this man even know what liberalism is?
Liberalism is centrism. It's free market capitalism with some regulation and a bit of a social safety net.

It has nothing to do with vegetarianism. Even right-wingers can be vegetarians or animal rights activists. The vast majority of DUers eat meat.

Tons of people here are opposed to late-term abortions, and I've never seen anyone here banned for saying so. I know I've said so on many occcasions. "up to 9 months" is a pretty extreme position, to say the least.

Some people here (myself included) occasionally ridicule white males, southerners, christians and "mainstream Americans". Is it so terrible to occasionally take a poke at the people on top of the heap? Oh, and I have had threads locked because I stereotyped southerners, so even this is not entirely tolerated here.

zero population? I assume you mean zero population GROWTH? And that last bit "welfare crack mom with 10 kids" I bet there are not even 10 women in the US who are on crack AND welfare AND have 10 kids. Red herring.

And I personally have never demanded tolerance for any religion. The most intolerant, sexist and violent religion on earth? Well Christianity and Islam are pretty much tied in those areas from where I stand, but just as is the case with Chrtistianity, Islam has different sects with varying degrees of lunacy, some being fairly progressive and reasonable.

I think we demand that people not arrest, abuse or discriminate against people because simply because they are arabs or muslims. But most liberals and progressives are highly critical of misogyny and hate, whether they come from muslims, christians or anyone else. But nobody says you have to LIKE Islam. I don't. I don't like Christianity either. I think the Abrahamic religions teach philosophies that tend to prevent people from reaching their best potential in developing as human beings. But a lot of people think those religions are the only way to go. And if it make them happy, more power to them. But I have the right to say when I think their dogma is full of crap, just as they have the right to insist that Adam rode on dinosaurs just a few thousand years ago, despite overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary.

8. Let us compare that to...
Edited on Tue Jun-19-07 07:56 PM by TechBear_Seattle
Luke 6:27-31
"But I say to you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from him who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to every one who begs from you; and of him who takes away your goods do not ask them again. And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them."

Matthew 5:43-48
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

Matthew 19:16-23
And behold, a man came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?"

And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments."

He said to him, "Which?" And Jesus said, "You shall not kill, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

The young man said to him, "All these I have observed; what do I still lack?"

Jesus said to him, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions. And Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly, I say to you, it will be hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 25:31-46 (my personal favorite)
"When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.

Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'

Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'

And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'

Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?'

Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.' And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
