The Republican wasteland.
Edited on Tue Jun-19-07 12:38 PM by Cyrano
They’ve destroyed everything they’ve touched.

They’ve destroyed children’s lives by slashing funds for schools.

They’ve destroyed the lives of countless vets, first with war, and then by decimating the funds to care for the physically and psychologically wounded.

They’ve destroyed the savings of the elderly and made them choose between prescriptions or food.

They’ve destroyed the security of the middle class by shredding the social contract and the social safety net.

They’ve destroyed the poor by ignoring the need for a decent wage.

They’ve destroyed countless lives by making medical care unaffordable.

They've destroyed a great American city.

They’ve destroyed the American economy by opening up the treasury to the malignant merchants of greed.

They've destroyed the rule of law by putting themselves above it.

They’ve destroyed any trust we have in our political system.

They’ve destroyed our reputation in the eyes of the world.

And in the time they have left, Bush and Cheney could just possibly destroy that world.

There hasn’t been one moment of one day in the past six and a half years that these despicable barbarians haven’t visited some outrage upon us. And, assuming we can get them out of power, they must pay for their countless crimes against humanity.

They want to ignore the Constitution? Fine. Once they're out of power, let's temporarily and retroactively suspend the president's right to pardon. Regardless of who Bush pardons, every last one of the criminals of this administration, as well as their enablers, need to stand trial in the Hague. The price for our not pursuing this will be an invitation for it to happen all over again in the future.

3. I once read that in Dickens time 10000 people ran England and
that they owned just about every thing. It seems we are stuck in the Victorian age with the landed 'royals' running the show and making one big mess of it all. The crazy part is so many poor people put them in power and for some reason I do not understand think this is a fine way to run a country. I thought that WW1 had put it all to rest but guess I must think it over once more. I am pretty sure that if the USA does not have a Middle Class that can buy you can for get a world wide business of making things. You do need some one to buy what ever you make. Clinton I thought would have done some work on those trade deals. I never understood him on that. Trade deals should never have gone to fast track. We were better off when all these Congressmen were not kissing up to the President of what ever party

4. A pResidential Pardon Won't Get Them Out of The Hague
Even if Bush** pardons someone, they can still be tried in the Hague.
