All 49 Repubs to vote against Levi/Warner resolution?
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, announced that "as a matter of fairness," all 49 GOP senators will oppose a procedural vote Monday to move ahead with a compromise bipartisan measure crafted by Sens. Carl Levin, D-Michigan, and John Warner, R-Virginia. That would defeat the motion, which requires 60 votes to pass under Senate rules.

So John Warner is going to vote against his own resolution. The Repubs are crying that we aren't being bipartisan enough for them and then they decide that they really don't want it

3. This just doesn't make sense
Why would John Warner work so hard on a resolution, and then not support it? And what about Smith from Oregon and a few others who have been so vocal against the war? It's like Bush has some kind of Svengali-like influence over all of them.

4. Why would Rangel craft a resolution on the draft that he would vote against?
I'm totally against all this kind of "clever" political maneuvering.

We don't elect these people to posture, or not me, anyway.
