I know something - no lobby, no oil interest -

If we go to a syn fuel by liquifying coal - it will not run in most of our refineries anyway. It is so dirty it cannot ever be accepted - the sulphur content is so high. It doesn't work - anymore than ethanol can produce enough to get us anywhere.

But we CAN liquify oil shale. At least for a time - a time to get us to a hydrogen based equal.

You know what we all know - if we don't come up with a fuel that gets us independent of hostile governments - we are screwed anyway. It is true.

I am not a geo-engineer - but dad ran an oil company - and I know they prepared for this eventuality anyway - more than 20 years ago.

We can do this. We better.
