The Worst Ever
Though many have started speculating who is the worst president: Nixon or Bush.
Well, for my 2 cents I have to say bush. Because at least Nixon was intellegent and somewhat competent. He wrote several scholarly books and knew foreign policy.
Bush cannot string 2 intellegent sentences together, doesn't read let alone write. completely incompetent and has no clue about anything. Everything he has done in life has been a failure. Plus he is not really in control of his administration or the final authority. That goes to the equally incompetent Cheney.
So, for all of Nixon's corruption and nastiness, he at least had a working brain.

the title of Worst President Ever: Nixon or Bush? While Bill Boyarsky concedes that the question may be moot in some senses, he still takes the two to task in his rundown of the many offenses they committed during their respective (imperialist) presidencies.

1. The Only Way in Which Nixon Was Worse
was that a lot more people died in Southeast Asia. But Nixon didn't get the country into that mess.

2. I'll bet * is quite the writer...
I hear every bathroom in the White House has a "Here I sit, broken hearted..." type poem scrawled in crayon on the wall.

Edited on Fri Jun-08-07 03:16 AM by OneBlueSky
at least Nixon played by the rules (after he was caught), and when it came time for him to go, he went . . . Bush will NEVER leave that office unless Congress does something to stop his drive for totalitarian power . . .

8. I don't compare Bush to previous Presidents
Bush isn't simply a bad President or even the worst one - Bush is a criminal and a wanna-be tyrant.

It hasn't simply been a case of bad policy and grievous mistakes made by a President that wasn't competent enough for the job - Bush has deliberately, and with arrogant intent, harmed America. His criminal acts have been by conscious design - on purpose with a purpose that had nothing to do with actually governing America...instead he seeks to control America and her people.

Bush is not an aberration, however. He is what becomes of a country grown complacent and all too willing to let corrupt and criminal government officials get a pass, all in the name of healing.

Nixon was a thug that should have never been allowed to fly away from his crimes. Nixon should have gone to prison. All in the name of "healing" - Allowing him to go free didn't heal America at bit.

Reagan was no better - you don't get to plead ignorance when you're the President. He should have been held accountable - diseased mind and all. Allowing him to fade away didn't heal America a bit.

Bush I is a thug - that should have gone to prison. Allowing him to walk away didn't heal America a bit.

Bush II is a thug, that should go to prison. And we have Shrub because of all that "healing"

America seems to like thugs...otherwise, America would stop giving thugs a pass.

10. I remember reading the book on Nixon that explained how signifigant
Nixon starting relations with China was. But he was a crook. I don't think Bush has one policy success. So for what it is worth..I think Bush is worse.
