I watched the debate with a Republican friend (a McCain supporter), which made for an interesting experience. We agreed that McCain did well, Huckabee broke out of the munchkin pack, Romney was a slick suit, and Tancredo looked stark raving nuts.

As a group: Scooter Libby should be pardoned because Bill Clinton only got his law license revoked for lying, and anyway there wasn't any crime to begin with.

Biggest contention: Deport all Mexicans and build a high wall, or not.

Ron Paul, libertarian crackpot (I know that's redundant): Let the 'free market' solve all problems.


My prediction: all the little fascist pricks that make up the right wing across this country will be bleating for Fred Thompson, another blowhard right-wing asshole, to save them. In their next debate this August, the puffed-up mediocre actor won't distinguish himself.
