I don't know anything about The Sojourners, but it sounds like they are definately on the Dem side.

I'm going to watch it tonight, just to see what's going on. I'm not sure why there are only going to be 3 of our candidates there though. The host on CNN just asked one of the reporters that, and she said she wasn't sure if the others were invited or not?????

...but not because I give a rat's behind about their spiritual beliefs, but rather because I do care about how they pander to this non-issue.

2. It's NOT a non-issue in a National Election.
I understand there are many peopl who just don't care about anyone's religion and that's fine! The problem comes when those who do care try to force THEIR beliefs on EVERYONE ELSE!

I'm interested in watching this forum to hear the arguments on WHY your personal feliefs are very important...to you, but shouldn't affect public policy because they are NOT the beliefs of the majority!

3. they used to be on the radical left side. More establishment these days
from what i can see. Started out as group of evangelical believers opposed to US imperialism (esp. Vietnam war at the time) and racism.
