SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A man identifying himself as a Navy veteran of the Iraq war has been circling the state Capitol once for each person killed in the conflict.

Joined by other anti-war marchers, the man on Wednesday completed his 362nd lap, representing the number of California soldiers killed.

The man, who said he wanted to remain anonymous in order to keep the focus on fallen veterans, said he plans to eventually complete more than 3,400 laps.

The man has asked other Iraq veterans to join him and several have turned out.

1. He reminds me of Forrest Gump when he ran across the nation after his wife died.
That was a good movie, set during turbulent times, much like our own.
