Man sues Minutemen over fence Har har har
It seems that those great patriots known as the Minutemen are just scam-artists:
By Jonathan Clark, Sierra Vista Herald
" A man who mortgaged his home in order to help the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps build border fencing on private land in Cochise County is suing the group and it's president Chris Simcox, for fraud and breach of contract." (more)
It seems the guy gave $100,000 to MCDC to build a 14 foot high "Israeli" style fence on the border and the group took his money and never built the fence, citing financial and labor shortages. They won't give it back, so he's suing for 1.2 million.
There have been a few times when the MCDC rallied the rednecks down here in these parts. Old men sit in lawn chairs in the back of their pickups with guns and binoculars and two way radios being all patriotic. There are American flags flying from their trucks.

2. Bigoted SOB got what he deserved, the most American of all traditions:
The Good Old-Fashioned Scam.

You mortgaged your home and handed the cash over to these all-stars?

Consider it a "stupidity tax", jackass. Salute as the flag passes by.

13. It's a win-win, all around...
This gullible asshole either loses his money, or the Minutemen lose any shred of credibility they may have left among the loons. Rah-rah, either way!

5. Well, you'd think there was a donation contract that states the conditions of the donation
But then again, some people are too stupid to get one.

15. This is classic example of a Schlameel and a Schlamazel...
A schlameel is the guy who gets the soup spilled on him. A schlamazel is the guy who spills it.

To fools fighting it out to see who is the biggest schmuck.

14. I find this line amusing...
took his money and never built the fence, citing financial and labor shortages.

Just who would have been the people actually building these morons fence, hmmmmmmmm?

I'll give you one guess and I can guarantee you it wouldn't have been these bloated asshole minutemen.

People yell, scream and stamp their feet over the illegals coming into the U.S. but people also don't realize how much they do to make the U.S. run on a daily basis.

I live in Texas, believe me, I know.

Alan Keyes & the Minuteman Money Mystery

By Bill Berkowitz

In late April Chris Simcox, head of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC), the anti-immigration organization that set up citizen patrols along the U.S.-Mexico border, showed up in Bellingham, Washington to testify at a Washington Human Rights Commission hearing. According to a post by author David Neiwert on his blog, Simcox was “rather impressive: clean-cut, very straightforward seeming, very smooth. He seemed almost preppy with his new clean-shaven look and crew sweatshirt.”

The old Simcox, “who liked to alternate between camos and jeans and sport an American-flag cap, spout endless conspiracy theories, quasi-racist fearmongering, and demonstrate his utter idiocy to anyone familiar with gun safety by holstering his pistol down the front of his jeans,” was “it appears...ancient history...buried under the careful coaching of the DC-based public relations firm that Simcox hired,” Neiwert wrote. “They’ve done a pretty good job of making Simcox over completely.”

Three months after he cleaned up his act, several former Minuteman members went public with charges that Simcox was not being accountable for the money the organization had raised. In addition— and apparently unbeknownst to many of its members—the organization began to call itself “a project” of the Declaration Alliance, a group controlled by Black con-servative Alan Keyes.

Despite an appearance with Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly, where Simcox assured the talk show host that everything was on the up-and-up financially, all is not well in the border-vigilante community.

Simcox has forged close political ties with a gaggle of conservative Christian organizations, including Renew America, an organization that supports the “Declarationist ideals” of Keyes; Response Unlimited, Philip Zodhiates’s direct mail outfit; Diener Consulting Inc., a public relations firm headed by Phil Sheldon, the son of Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, founder of the Traditional Values Coalition; and RightMarch. com, founded by William Greene, a protégé of direct mail guru Richard Viguerie.
