Hillary's other last chance option

When advising PN Obama on taking a hard line with Senator Clinton it should be understood that she has one last option besides hoping for a 2012 run (which I do not believe they really consider as they know that Obama will be the force now and in 2012).

She could make an enthusiastic endorsement of Obama for Prsident.

She could then decalare her candidacy for Vice President.

While on the surface it would seem far fetched, I doubt within the world of Ickes/MacAuliffe/WJC it is far fetched at all.

The nomination of Vice President is based on the will of the delegates and she would have enough hard core delegates that they would have no difficulty getting it heard on the floor. While recent history has made it the pick of the nominee that is only a political convention, the rules and votes are actually based on the will of the delegates.

If she made her support of Obama for President unconditional and enthusiastic it would dampen a lot of criticism that such a move will invariable make.

For this reason PN Obama will undertake a diplomatic engagement of Senator Clinton, and cannot as some have advocated, simply ignore or brush by her.
