I donated last night, and will again tonight. A certain segment of DU is refusing to donate money (as is their right), so maybe we can help pick up the slack.

If you don't need a star, I recommend donating your star to a DUer in need. Maybe even an HRC supporter. The good will be well received by most.

32. I should have read this post before I donated.

I'm fairly new to DU (just been here a couple of months). I did an initial small donation when I found this board, and now I just increased it to a small donation monthly. I enjoy reading posts by like-minded people and have even learned a few new things here. :) I look forward to our push against McCain this fall, and hopefully many of the Hillary supporters will come around.

The next time I donate (or increase my level), I will make sure the star goes to somebody who needs one.

saw someone who needed a star and donated a second time. The person I saw did not have any indication of supporting a particular candidate, though I did not check before donating. I just knew it was a member in good standing who was not on my ignore list. I think it would be a great idea to donate for a Hillary supporter as a goodwill gesture. I'd do more, but I have some huge expenses this quarter for mandatory home repairs.
