So much for 2012 going to the Republicans.

At his lowest, Pres. Obama still demolishes the best known Republican candidates.

By 47 percent to 35 percent Obama bests former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. The president has an even wider edge over former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin (55 percent to 31 percent), and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (53 percent to 29 percent).

Finally, twice as many people say they would vote for Obama (48 percent) as would back a candidate from the Tea Party movement (23 percent).

Even with Fox actively trying to undermine the President, he still destroys the field of candidates at the top of the GOP's list.

Mitt Romney is the closest, but is down by 12 points.

Sarah Palin just came off of an incredible PR blitz with her new book tour and still is down 24 points.

Newt Gingrich and his ever-changing marriages and religions is down by 24 points.

2. Proof that Obama will be a one termer for sure.
Polls that show only 89% of liberal Democrats approve of him show that he has totally lost his base. 13% support from Republicans highlight how far right President Obama has gone.

It's an "Alice in Wonderland" kind of world.

3. I know it's hypothetical, and '12 is a good ways off, but if the Dems get busy...
perhaps we'll be rewarded in the fall, and in 2012. I am still reeling from yesterday's USSC ruling, and I fear if the Dems don't get busy and find some constitutional way to circumvent this, the Democratic party is done.

Does anyone else think the Republicans might be preparing the new Senator from Mass for 2012 presidential run? The similarities between he & the president are striking. Both good looking men, with the ability to captivate an audience, and dazzle the teevee cameras. I think they'll groom him, because right now he's seen as a fresh new face to the Beltway.

5. The Republicans will never nominate a pro-choice candidate.
Brown will have to do an about face on his abortion position.

6. I know, but they're desparate to take back the WH. Let's face it, if they
can convince the religious right to shut up until he's elected, he could likely be a formidable opponent. But I honestly forgot about his pro-life position. That could pose a problem for him.
