This is a really good interview. It gets into the fallout from the Dan Rather/Bush National Guard story and also digs into how the right wing influences the media in general (including the current NY Times/McCain situation).

Of course this clip only gives you a very small excerpt, but you can get to the whole interview here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x2922263

PS---You can always watch the Show Live 3-5 pm ET, with a Rolling Post Game 5-7 pm daily Monday-Friday at www.theyoungturks.com The RPG often contains political talk but also many non-political topics to lighten things up (and yes, that audio may not necessarily be work-safe).

Also, if you can't watch live, the 3-5pm portion of the show (politics) streams the rest of the day, all day right after the Post Game Show ends leading up to the initial show at 3pm.

1. I really enjoyed this!
It was sad what happened at CBS and I liked that she made the connection to the NY Times.

4. Yes, and I'm glad she got into corporate/money considerations and that Cenk asked that last question
Is the press scared at all to go after a *Democrat*? Her answer to that question was of course 100% right.

2. Doesn't it say a lot that reckless Dan Rather and silly Mary Mapes went on
to win a Peabody award just months after their dismissal from CBS?

3. I've taken the same vow as Ms. Mapes... not to think about John McCain naked for
the rest of my life. (John McCain naked? eeeewwww!)

6. The reich wing media
would gain credibility if they just called themselves the Nazi Propaganda Outlet. The corporate news can eat shit and bark at the moon.
If Pravda, TAAS and Izvestia were as brazen as our corporate media the Soviet Union would still be in tact.
