I think this video says everything that anyone needs to know as to just how disingenuous and hypocritical her criticism of Barack Obama's "plagiarism" was.

So, all of Hillary Apologists...please, take your best crack at this.

1. there's nothing to say; candidates regularly borrow each other's stuff
esp. opponents, so as to confuse who has been saying what, for one.

and if the slogan or mantra hooks, they're going to use it.

i do not like how she evidently called him a plagiarist however, and what maybe used to be considered sport, negative catch phrases, are outmoded, which shows her campaign has not caught up to the new way of doing things. She's playing old school politics that clearly don't work anymore, and she and her stupid consultants have no idea how to break old bad habits. I could have given her better advice, and for a lot less money than the people she has working for her. I think a lot of us have been trying to help her; it was just too late. She is too late, unfortunately, and for a lot of reasons out of her control.

2. What is old school politics?
What is new about Obama? Borrowing other people's words to be "inspirational"?

3. saying and doing the same things over and over again, expecting different results,
to repeat something someone else and yes Obama has, too.

7. He takes the high road. How's that for new?
Wow, you HillBots are real pieces of work. You can't defend the indefensible, so what do you do? You use the same old tried-and-used-to-be-true Rovian bullshit...projecting your inadequacies and frustrations on the other guy...deflect, dodge, obfuscate.

F*ckin' pathetic.

8. Here's something else: he inspires and instills hope...
...wherever he goes, and even in the places he hasn't been. He wins, constantly, without having to sandbag someone else in the process. Barack is here to lift a country up, and people are hungry for it. They show up and fills stadiums for him, because they believe he can deliver.

Hillary is in this for herself, and it shows...more and more with each passing day.

10. He inspires by copying
Edited on Fri Feb-22-08 06:40 PM by Sonnenschein
a few pages from Clinton's playbook (hope and change), a few pages from Kennedy's (empty rhetoric), a few pages from Reagan (blind optimisms) and few pages from Karl Rove (twisting and twisting)and a few page from his pastor's Sunday sermon. He has run a negative campaign from the start by attacking Hillary's supporter as cynics. He has run a racist campaign from the start by allowing his surrogate to twist every word Bill and Hillary said into racist overtones. He accuses Clintons of being the same old folk when he knows full well the sweeping changes Clintons brought to our country. He accuses Hillary of being divisive when it is actually Hillary who proved that she can work with the Repubs and she can win the votes from the Repubs like in NY if people get to know her.

13. Source? Any one thing of what you slathered your last post with?
Please...I'd really like to know how you've arrived at these fantastical, if not delusional conclusions.

Apart from out of your pure, seething jealously and frustration over your candidate's utter ineptitude, that is.

6. Please sing along?
What strikes me most in that video is how she desperately tries to start the "Yes we will" chant.

Must be a downer turning on the tv later to see Obama say "Yes w.." and then hear him drowned out by thousands.

11. If she started attacking Obama earlier
she would have won. She has been too soft on Obama, tying to take the high road.

12. Bullshit. Obama stole whole speeches and all his campaign slogans and
the inspiration coming from the heart acting as he led us to believe his words were coming from his own inspiration and from the heart. Hypocrisy is closing your eyes to the actual facts and not using someone's 'normal use' of others words with the blatant stealing of inspirational speeches.

Your condescending attitude and minimizing of Obama's phony inspiration allows you to close your eyes to what is while using it to put down anyone who recognizes what is clearly disingenuous.
Hillary questioned his faking his inspiration by pretending these words were coming in the moment of passion from his own heart...You are calling it plagiarism when that only partly covers it.
And no...I am not a Hillary supporter but one who was deeply disappointed to see how much O was pretending to be inspired. Can't he come up with his own stuff. Speeches, campaign slogans, etc, certainly overwhelms any campaigns normal borrowing of lines from others. I resent being shined on by anyone. I will support him but I will not close my eyes to his bullshit nor minimize it by saying big deal others do it. Or use it to make those who recognize it too to feel like they shouldn't take note of it.

Your post's main purpose was to put down Hillary supporters. Is that what we want to make people come together behind a candidate, is that O's unification message, note anything I do that is disingenuous and You will be bashed for noting it?

15. Translation: "Her plagiarism was more understandable than Obama's...
...because she was getting her assed kicked into next month, and sandbagging Barack over small potatoes was the only way she could imagine to close the gap."

CLASSIC.
