We asked ourselves what it would take for Sen. Clinton to get our votes if she defeats Sen. Obama for the nomination. . .

1. Is this just a low blow or does it make a valid point? Highly recommended-Funny! (but sad in a way)

The bottom line - While Bill Clinton was a great President in many ways there is no doubt in my mind that the political environment that Bill and Hillary's "issues" helped create in 2000 clearly had a role in putting Idiot America in power for 8 years.

Funny how many people like to blame Gore for not letting Bill help is election prospects in 2000. Is it really somehow totally unrelated/surprising that Hillary isn't able to accept his support now?

Why risk this shit again in an election?

2. Eureka!
Well said. I started out this primary season very open to the idea of voting for Hillary in the fall if she were to win the nomination. But every week that has gone by has increased the thuggishness of her campaign and her obvious willingness to win at all costs. One of the things I most admire about Gore is the grace he displayed at conceding the Presidency to Bush (as painful as that was to himself and half the country.) My guess is that the Clintons would chose a convention fight for the nomination, and a loss to John McCaine in the fall, rather than see Obama as the party's nominee. And I've heard this same thought from a LOT of my Democratic friends.

4. Right WIng Crap
If Bill had kept his fly zipped he would have gotten twice as much done in his second term and Gore would have been elected-- just the way Reagan handed off to George H.W. Bush.

7. Obamabots?
LOL! Its absolutely true that the Right Wing threw a lot of goofy stuff at the Clintons. But its also true that Bill brought a LOT of that stuff down on himself by constantly lying about cheating on Hillary. As time has revealed, all those women whom he dragged through the mud, spat upon, and called liars were all telling the truth about him-- all of which serves to erode the trust a lot of the people in this country had in him. I'm a Democrat, but I'm also a husband and father and I despise men who treat women the way he does and has. And I despise the way he has belittled Sen. Obama for no other reason than the fact that he's standing between him and something that he wants. I think that Hillary Clinton is in many ways a tragic figure worthy of Shakespeare's attention. Who know what she might have achieved on her own if she hadn't had to climb down into the mud so many times to try and clean her husband up.
