3. it's about time someone told the truth
The Democrats that went along with the war in Iraq did so because they didn't want to be left out of the victory parade and looking weak on defense if it happened to go well. That's the absolute truth and no other explanation washes for me. Although I can forgive and forget for those who said their vote was wrong.

That's exactly right. Those who voted for the authorization on the Democratic side didn't want to appear weak later on when the parades and fanfare were going on. Hillary and others who voted for authorization gambled that we would end things in Iraq quickly and with little bloodshed. They gambled wrong, and look at the consequences.
