2. Frank Luntz, fatter and more Republican than ever!!
America is POST-PARTISAN? How far is his head wedged up his ass? Look at this board--America is HYPER partisan, within their own parties and without.

He is doing a helluva job of selling the GOP's choice for the Democratic nomination, though. Of course, those smooth, smarmy sales jobs have always been his strong suit.

3. couldn't watch
Bill Maher's show used to be relevant, but it is increasingly Republican. His two sentences about Edwards says it all. I think he is a complete sell-out. His phony liberalism is really a turn-off. I guess he'll be part of the group lamenting how dumb the American people are when we have another Republican running the country and won't acknowledge his role helping it to happen. I don't see the point in voting for a pre-selected candidate. Why don't more people see the manipulation behind this election? Have voters not suffered enough yet? I guess not. They have really blown it this time. Apparently most Americans do not have independent reasoning skills. Edwards was the last chance for America. The Fascist wave will continue unimpeded.

4. I couldn't agree MORE
I think the polling, the media representation and twist on everything about the campaign is

LIES.

We have here, a very wide cross section of DEMOCRATS and it's clear, and been clear for over 6 months, that DEMS support John Edwards stronger and in greater numbers than the media reports.

He is being silenced. He is fighting for us, and doing so in the best manner he knows how, that we cannot understand. I encourage anyone with the ability to sway a vote or two, or 100, to speak up for voting for John regardless - because he would bring the ONLY change in a grand scale to DC.

5. What Maher said was true...
I really, REALLY like Edwards, but he couldn't get the attention. Edwards has said it, the media has said it and folks here on DU have said. John Edwards couldn't squeeze out 3 minute from an hour of Obama / Clinton coverage. Certainly not Edwards fault. His message is / was important enough that he changed / improved / added to the other campaigns.

Perhaps Maher was crude (I didn't see it as such, but your opinion may differ), but Edwards like Kucinich could not get the coverage he deserved. So for those folks that get their information watching tv as they eat dinner arguing about who drank all the kool aid, knowledge about Edwards was minimal (the same goes for Kucinich, Dodd, Biden, Richardson and Gravel who is still in the race but who would know it).

But bypassing that, yeah, sometimes Maher can really get on my nerves as well - like at the end of the first clip, him doing the comparison of Obama and McCain dancing at their rally. Um, I don't remember Obama breaking into a James Brown song and sliding across the stage. Ever. A little more work and he may have been able to come up with funny, had he not stuck to ths same old black folks can dance better than old white folks that were held prisoner and tortured for some five years. Wow! I get so tired of that meme!
